The girl who found her stopped and got out to check on her and then called her Dad to the scene when Cat was unresponsive. She was found partially nude with her upper body about two feet into the street and her lower body in the edge of their yard around 5:30a (before daylight) by 19yo neighbor who passed by, heading in to work the breakfast shift at a fast food restaurant. His thumbprint and I think I also recall, one or two fingerprints were found in the position that one would grasp the neck of the bottle to strike someone. Her COD was blunt force trauma and the bottle is thought to have been used to bludgeon her. I think I recall that the bottle was placed directly on top of her phone.

I do have one friend that was acquainted with them due to living a couple of houses down, but she only saw them in passing.Įvidence wise- the Absynthe bottle that was found UPRIGHT along with her cell phone on the curb beside her body belonged to Jeff and he is seen on video purchasing it the night before. It’s a growing area and although I do know most families who are originally from Calera, they had not lived there very long and I didn’t know them. This occurred in my hometown, my family is still there but I didn’t live there when this happened.
